Cat Health Supplement - The Most Commonly Asked Questions & Answers About Pet Supplements
Is a cat health supplement really necessary to the health and longevity of your pet? Do they really help fight disease? In this article, you'll learn the answers to these questions, so you can determine if you want to start your pet on a nutritional program.
Q: Are cat health pills really necessary?
A: Animals are subject to the same denatured food that we are and the same toxin-filled environment, so supplements are good for them and in some cases, even vital. This is because they can provide the missing ingredients not found in food, eliminate stored toxins from the body and boost immunity, especially when used daily. Although this is important for healthy cats, it is crucial for cats that are aging or fighting off infection or disease.
Q: There are many vitamins for pets on the market. If you can only afford to give your pet one type of cat health supplement, which one should you choose?
A: As long as you are feeding your pet food that is as healthy as possible, then the best supplement to buy is one that contains antioxidants. These supplements are used to fight cancer, ward off infection and disease while building the immune system.
To ensure that you are feeding your cat healthy food, read the ingredients label. Make sure the first ingredient is fish or meat. Look for broth, healthy grains and vegetables. Make sure there are no chemicals, cheap grains or meat by products. It is best to feed your cat food that is moist because this is better for the digestive and urinary systems.
Q: How do I find cat health pills that contain effective pet antioxidants?
First of all, make sure the manufacturer is reputable and has been around for at least five years. One thing to always look for is a money back guarantee. Don't stake your cat's health on a company that doesn't stand behind their product.
A: With regard to ingredients, look for a supplement that contains Mistletoe, Milk Thistle and Vitamin C. Together, these ingredients eliminate free radicals, reduce inflammation (which can lead to disease), build up the immune system and flush toxins from the body. It is better to give these ingredients in a cat health supplement that delivers the proper dose every time, rather than trying to give them to your pet individually.
So there you have it: some questions and answers About Cat Health supplements that will help you do your best to give your favorite feline a long, happy and healthy life.

Why is it bad for cats to drink toilet water?
I was reading an article about cat health and of the many harmful and toxic items in your household. One of which was "toilet water." Now, I personally wouldn't want to drink from the toilet myself, however, dogs seem to do it, and evidently so do cats. My first cat never actually drank the water (she just played in it...), but both of my cats now DO drink the water when 1. the seat is up (which it shouldn't be...), and 2. when their water supply is running low (and when i see them drink from the toilet, i immediately fill their water). They also LOVE to drink from faucets (even if it's not on - they still manage to get water by making out with the faucet).
I imagine it has something to do with the chemicals that you clean the potty with, but what if you don't clean it that often? Nor do you make a mess (if you catch my drift...)?

Question about cat health...?
My older neutered male cat woke up one day with poor balance and a tendancy to tilt his head in unusual ways. All his bodily functions seem to be normal and he is not in pain. I thought maybe he had a stroke??? If anyone knows a cause for such behavior please let me know. Thank you.

Flea/tick poisoning kitten...need advice?
Only intelligent responses please...
We recently adopted a 6 week old kitten. We spent the first several days trying to bring it's weight and nutrition up, and it became a very active kitten.
Last night we began to attack the flea problem it had. It was loaded with them, but due to it's long fur we couldn't get them all. We decided to try using some Adams Flea/tick spray. We sprayed our hands and rubbed it into the fur..then carefully got whatever fleas we could see, and combed out the rest. We then bathed the cat to wash off any excess spray and dried the kitten.
The next day the cat became a bit lethargic, wouldn't eat or drink unless we fed it. It's not walking well and is not active at all. I think it's a bad reaction to the spray but we don't know much about cat health.
Naturally, our vet is out of town for the weekend. It's now Saturday night, and we have no access to a vet until Monday morning. So we could really use some intelligent advice.
There are no local Vet Hospitals open at this time in our area. Our personal Vet can not be reached thjis evening and she didnt have anyone on call for an emergency. My wife has made up some sugar water and the kitten has been drinking it, and it ate about 4 teaspoons of moist cat food. the kitten seems alert, eye are wide open, but is very unsteady when trying to walk.
If we had an emergency clinic open where we could take the kitten we would have had her there hours ago. Right now there is no other help other then what my wife is trying to do for it now.

what's best, wet or dry cat food?
I tried asking this but dunno why it didnt show up before.
I wanted to know what is better. me and my family believe dry food. as do most of our friends. But I heard this lady talking about cat health and she says wet is better.
How does one feed wet food to cats? How much do you feed them a day? How many cans a day? I have 3 indoor cats upstairs . . . how would I make sure they all get enough food with out fighting?
I am considering adding more wet food and less dry food, but I'm just worried because my cats are used to eating when they feel like it. . . and I'm worried that they wont like having to wait to eat once or twice a day.
If ya feed wet food how many cans do you use a day? how often do you feed?
thanks.
