Cat training books are a perfect companion for any cat owner. Every cat owner should at least have one on their book shelf.

Here are some of the best-selling and truly amazing cat training books that can have one's pet cat do more than meowing and scratching:

1. "Guide to Well-Behaved Cat: A Sound Approach to Cat Training" The book says it all. It aims to train the cat to behave. Written by Phil Maggiti, this book is packed with rich information and divided into four parts. The first chapter tackles the cat's evolution, while the second is all about its domestication. Design and function of an ordinary cat is discussed in chapter three, while chapter four talks about human-pet relationship topics such as why does a kitty disobey the owner when it is called?

2. "Understanding or Training Your Cat or Kitten"

This acclaimed book is from H. Ellen Whiteley, a veterinarian who understands cats more than an average person does. This book contains 292 pages of important information that can truly make you understand, train and appreciate one's pet cat.

3. "Handbook of Behavior Problems of the Dog and Cat"

This book is a collaboration of Gary M. Landsberg, W. Hunthausen and L. Ackerman. Published by Elvesier Health Sciences, this is one of the most reputable books in cat training. Okay, so it is dual purpose - it is about cats and dogs, but it doesn't matter. It is as informative as any other cat training book out there.

From discussing kitten development to suggesting therapy for behavior and diet-related problems, from approaching feline agression to finding out what the "European approach to behavior counseling" is, this book is indeed helpful.

4. "Cat Training in 10 Minutes"

The "Cat Training in 10 Minutes" is 142 pages of quirky information on how to communicate effectively with cats. Written by Miriam Fields-Banineau, a certified cat lover, this guide is easy to read and highly effective. Every cat owner can toilet-train his kitty in just a few reading sessions! It will not be long before the cat also follows the owner's commands! The photographs in the book are very attractive as well.

Nobody says cat training is going to be easy. That's why cat training books are available online so one can get the gist and be the best cat owner in town. We hope that you have found this article interesting and eye catching to say the least. It's objective is to entertain and inform.

Fighting Problems?
having read other posts about cat agression, i'm in dispair, i dont think my two will ever get on again. (two male litter mates) the fighting, stalking and violence between them is so bad they are seperated 80% of time now and wont eat together or sleep peacefully in same room. Its so bad but re-homing isnt an option. I have tried the getting to know each other methods and have a spray bottle. (bottle gets attacked too!) I cant punish it makes it worse, had to go to vets AGAIN y/day ones foot was infected bad through a bite from the other. Its every day i cant relax i have to watch them both or they'll get each other. Its one in particular that always starts the fights, they are both neutered now and get lots of love and play and food. They dont go out they dont want to. I need this situation to calm down, occasional fights i can handle, but 2/3 bad, blood & fur fights a day is taking its toll on all of us! HELP

Sudden cat agression?
One of our cats, Gracie, has been showing sudden signs of agression. Gracie had surgery 2 weeks ago due to a bad teeth infection and all of her teeth had to be removed. She has been acting much happier. Letting us pet her more and eating more and showing more affection. (we have 6 cats and 3 dogs who all get along great. all but one cat were rescued from under an apartment building next door) About 3 days ago I was sitting on my bed with my 60 pound dog Maggie and Grace was also there with her two sisters Faye and Zippo. Maggie got up and moved closer to lay next to my legs and Grace attacked her She jumped on her, slashed at her, hissed and spit and growled. Faye and Zippo immediately followed her and attacked Maggie as well. I had to physically pull Maggie backwards to keep them from hurting her. Faye, Zippo and Grace are about 6 now. Then today I heard something fall and got up and Grace, Zippo and Faye run out of my brother's room. Our dachsaund, Cubby, was in the hallway inspecting the noise and they jumped on him. I had to get between them to stop them. Then about 20 minutes later they attacked Maggie AGAIN! About an hour ago I was in my room and I didnt know they were under my bed. Maggie walks around the bed so she can jump up on it with me when they jump out from under the bed and attack her. I had to physically step between the two and they left scratch marks in my floor and there are claws on the floor. They have also attacked two of our older, neutered male cats. Grace seems to be the leader she goes after them first. Faye gets agressive. Zippo (who is mostly blind) doesn't really do much. Unfortunately due to money problems the three of them are not spayed so we will be spaying them very very soon because we think that might help. We've also been looking at getting Feliway. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice. Anything would be helpful. It is very scary. We had money problems at the time that we got them and about 2 years after because Maggie started having severe siezures and no medication was working (she is fine now). We are getting them spayed this month. If we hadn't have taken them in they would've froze to death it was below zero the night we got them. We also have a 3 story house and the cats stay upstairs 90% of the time. The animals have never fought before. and we've had all of them for more than 2 years. Thank you for all the nice answers. It really is worrying me. I am a huge animal lover and am starting college to be a vet tech next year :D

how can i stop my cats agression?
OK, So i have a indoor outside cat by the name Of Ziggy. His neutered and everything 2 years old. The sweetest thing in the world purs like crazy a soon as you look at him and enjoys your company up until 2 weeks ago.... I decided to adopt a baby kitten to be a mainly indoor cat by the name of Luna ( she had a sad story so i took her in). she is about 14 weeks old. So Ziggy started going crazy, lashing at anyone . I had been keeping Luna in one room and Ziggy only access to the living room.I have introduces them and his seems to tolerate her to an extend. he will be growling all the time till i let him out but he will lay down for a nap somewhere where he can still see each other, and all interaction with each other is supervised since Luna is really curious and will get her butt kick. id been trying to give them both positive reinforcement like example every time Luna is around, Ziggy gets Tuna (his favorite food) and Luna gets some wet cat food. but it just Doesn't seem to be working it has gotten to the point that i cant even pet Ziggy anymore cause he will actually go after me. is not like if i approach him any different i keep the same tone of voice the same routine i ignore his growling don't go out of my way when i am walking to avoid him or anything . What could i do be able to have that happy fur ball again.
