Here are the reasons: 1. The biggest problem among cats is that they easily multiply. Their population is growing increasingly fast which resulted to unwanted kittens that can no longer be taken cared of. There are just not enough people who can look after them. This is due to the uncontrolled reproduction habits of un-spayed female cats. 2. Unwanted and homeless cats pose a threat to other animals in the environment, especially birds and rodents. When they still grow uncontrolled, this may cause an even more severe damage to the environment. 3. If you do not want your cat to be overly active in mating, you should have her spayed. This will also stop her from getting into unlikely behavior that accompanies heating. 4. For un-spayed male cats, they might be more daring when it comes to mating and they might wander off to look for the right mate. This could be a reason why you might lose your cat. 5. Spayed or neutered cats are more protected from feline diseases such as mammary cancer, pyometra, and prostate cancer which are dangerous diseases. If you have an aging female cat, you should make sure that she will get spayed or else she might have higher chances of bearing a dangerous pregnancy. 6. Spayed cats are tamer towards their owners. If you want to improve your relationship with your cat, you should have her spayed. Moreover, you will also be spared from dealing with your cat's untoward behavior during mating season. 7. Having your cat spayed or neutered only requires little cost. If you are lucky enough, you might even find free services. Your cat will be more relaxed when mating and she will also be in the best of health. So you see, neutering your pet will do her a lot of good.

I just got my cats spayed and neutered?
the females are sleeping, and the males are constantly waking up and being themselves. but one of them is sleeping next to the females. should I let them all stay in the same room or keep them seperate? I have to go to work..I have 5 cats so how should I leave them before I go to wor?

Changing a cat's behavior?
I have a 2 year old tabby cat-neutered male-who is absolutely terrorizing my 7 year old cat-spayed female. I shouldn't say terrorize, he is just playing really rough with her and she is not really fighting back because that's just not her.
He is doing it so much that she is starting to lose weight from the stress. She is a very timid, mild mannered cat. She is maybe 5 lbs and he is at least 10 lbs. So he definitely has a weight advantage.
I do not want to have to get rid of him, and I can't get rid of the female because she took 5 years to warm up to us-she was super sick as a kitten and spent a lot of time in the vet and missed out on her socialization.
The cats already have their own room and full run of the house but I swear he stalks her around the house. If she is comfortable he must come up and bother her.
I had another cat and he grew out of the kitten stage by 2 years old.
We play with him and have a ton of cat toys and then several things to play in around-those tubes made form parachute fabric and what not.
I am looking for suggestions-only positive comments or suggestions please.

Should i get my male cat neutered or my female cat spayed?
Hi, i'm in a bit of a dilemma because i can't decide whether i should neuter my 2 year old male cat, or get my less-than-1-year-old female cat spayed. I've heard that apparently it's best not to neuter a male cat after he's 1 year old because it could change his character drastically. Help would be appreciated, thanks

I think my cat is pregnant agian?!?
Ok first off let me just say that this is a stray kitten and I'm just looking after her! I dont have a enough money to get all stray cats spayed so dont keep telling me "GET IT SPAYED" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting a new cat...help!?
