My cat is acting weird...help!?
Well, a while back I posted about my cats urinary problem (he wasn't peeing in his box) everyone suggested taking him to the vet, well I did and they said to isolate him and basically retrain him, and they gave him a cortizone shot (he was itching himself raw in spots) and he was fine a few days after, now he won't move, he hasn't eaten in three days, he hasn't pooped (obviously), and his breathing is really fast, he used to run to the door when i came home, now he just lays in the corner and sleeps...so basically does anyone know if a cortizone shot (or Frontline flea medicine, 'cause i put that on the back of his neck too) can have an adverse affect?? Help!!
For all of those who thought i was stupid for not taking my cat to the vet, well I'm not, I was planning on taking him, I was merely trying to see if anyone else had the same experiences with frontline or a cortizone shot, but to let you all know, i took him to the vet and he had fluid in his lungs and they took care of him and he's on medicine now.

Cosequin for cats urinary problems?
My vet wants me to put my overweight cat on Cosequin and c/d science diet for his urinary problems. He doesnt have crystals in his urine but became blocked over the weekend due to uti.
Has anyone ever heard of a vet using Cosequin for urinary problems? I am skeptical of putting him on c/d or Cosequin.
He normally eats 'Wellness' can food and 'Felidae' dry food.
I think the uti may have been caused by tuna that I was giving him - I didnt know at the time that canned tuna can cause ut problems in cats....I feel horrible for not realizing the tuna was bad for him!!!!

Cat Urinary Problems? Help!!?
My cat is a male, not even 2 years old. I noticed today that, three times now, he's gotten into the litter box in his "peeing" position and stays that way for a long time, minutes, like, 5, 6 minutes before leaving the box. When he left the box he meowed in discomfort (not a happy meow) and walked slowly. I'm thinking it's a urinary problem? Has anyone seen this before? Is it his diet?
Please help! I'm a poor college student... I'm assuming I'm going to have to take him to the vet but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here...
UPDATE: Thanks for the information everyone. As soon as I read these comment I took my cat to an emergency vet right away, ad he is now being treated. Thank you so much. I wouldn't know what to do if I lost my precious Conan.

Cat Urinary Problems?
our 3 year cat has for the past 4 months been constantly urinating but in small amount in unusual places in our home. Only recently has she started meowing and looks as though to be in pain. At time she doesnt urinate. She is eating well and her character is not in any way unusual. She is not bloated and it doesnt hurt her when touched around her stomach. I want to take her to the vets but i am a poor student on low income and am afraid the treatment will cost too much. Does anyone have a vague idea on how much vets charge when dealing with cats.
