Why does my cat urinate everywhere?
My male cat, Pepe, is approximately a little over a year old. He does have a litter box that I clean regularly. In fact, there are two litter boxes in the house (one was for another cat we have but now he spends all his time outside, but that's a different story). So anyway, Pepe does use his litter box sometimes and even the other litter box. But mostly, he pees everywhere else and usually right in front of me. Like a few times I was sitting on the toilet doing my business and I didn't bother to close the door. Pepe comes in wanting me to pet him and I give him his attention. Then when I stop to...well, clean myself LoL, he has gone #1 and even #2 in the bathroom when I'm still in it. Is he just doing that so I'll give him more attention or do you think there's something wrong with him?

Cat urinating on my rug?
I have 3 cats... (and 3 litter boxes that are cleaned daily.) They seem to have a preference for peeing on my rugs however and I'm not sure why. It got to the point where I just threw out my rugs and now I don't keep anything on my floors and I hate it. I only have one rug in my living room that the cats have never bothered with. I read somewhere that cats are attracted to peeing on bath rugs because they have the rubber backing... and I guess cats pee on that stuff??? The rugs I had were the cheap ones you get at Walmart for like, 30/40 dollars. The one in my living room is really nice and cost a good deal more than that. Do you think that's the difference? I had an idea that the cheap ones I was buying had a smell or something that attracted the cats to pee on them? I would just hate to buy a really nice rug for a lot of money to find I was wrong and the cats continue to pee on them. I guess not having rugs isn't the worst, but I like how they look in the rooms and it's just weird that my cats only pee on some but have left my living room one alone. What do you guys think?

6 Year old cat urinating on anything soft.. Clothing/tree skirt etc... Please help.?
I have a cat that I have had for about 6 years. I have ongoing problems with this cat not using the litter box to urinate. She always seemed to urinate on my husbands dirty clothes. I figured that this might quit when we recently moved last month. Well it hasnt and now she is urinating on anything soft. She got on my kitchen counter and urinated on the clean clothes that I hadnt yet folded. She urinated on the tree skirt, and today urinated on a blanket that fell off the chair onto the floor. I am at a loss and I am not sure what to do. I took her to the local veterinary hospital and they gave her antibiotics to help with crystals, however they couldnt get a sample from her to check her urine, so they are guessing that is the problem. I dont want to get rid of her she is the most beautiful cat. We think she is a European Burmese. Please help. We are grasping at straws and I am not sure what to do. She acts normal otherwise.

Why does my cat urinate on beds when the litter box isn't full?
Every Now and then my female cat will urinate on a bed. She has done it on three different beds in the past two months. She is only a year old and has been caught Squatting while doing it. Most of the time she uses the litter box, and when she doesnt she goes on a bed. Why is this? and how can we get her to stop?
I've noticed she only does it in a bed at night when someone is sleeping in it. Is it possible she is only doing it to get our attention when she wants it? Shes one of those cats that doesn't like 24/7 attention and will come to you when she does want it.
there are two male cats as well in the house, mine and my boyfriends parents (The female is mine and my boyfriends.) Someone is always home and she gets attention when she wants it. We just moved into my boyfriends parents. Before she peed in the bed me and my boyfriend slept in. and sience we have been with his parents she has taken a likeing to his mom and went in her bed last night. Could it just be that she likes us and wants attention?

Hi, I've been using "Freshstep clay cat litter with carbon" for years. I always liked it , but recently when my cat urinates, the litter is like mud. I used to change it twice a week (removed feces every time she went.) Have they changed tthe litter? What else can I try?
