Is my cat peeing in the house because my dog is in heat?
We have 2 cats (1 male, 1 female, both spayed/neutered). They are both 6 years old and have been litterbox trained several years ago without any issues.....until now. We also have a female Sheltie dog who is 1.5 years old. They have their battles, but they generally tolerate each other. Recently my dog has gone into heat for the first time. About a day after that began we started smelling cat urine on the rugs in our house. The litterboxes are always clean and accessible, they have food, water, and attention. Why are they doing this?? All we can think of is that one of them (we suspect the female) is sensitive to the dog being in heat- but it doesn't make sense to us. Has anyone encountered this before?

just cleaned cat urine with bleach, will I be okay?
My cat peed on my bathroom floor, so I wiped up as much as I could and then poured bleach to get rid of the smell. It sizzled and I started to cough and wheeze as I was wiping up the bleach, so I decided to google why it did that, and I saw that it was toxic and deadly. I opened up my windows and closed the bathroom door, but should I go to the hospital or something? what are some signs I should look out for as the day goes on??
lol yeah I guess it was pretty stupid of me to not read anything about it before, I've just never cleaned cat pee before so I was grossed out and just wanted to get it over with. thanks everyone, I rinsed it with water and I coughed up some flem and I'm all better now. my eyes still sting a bit, but I'm sure I'll be okay. lesson learned! haha! :)

Does vinegar get rid of cat urine smell?
I am trying to get the smell of urine out of my carpet. My cat is in heat and is peeing everywhere. I'm getting her fixed but can't get her in for a month. How can I get rid of the smell so she stops? I have tried all the products from petsmart. So I am wondering if baking soda and vinegar will get rid of the smell?

Can cat urine make you itchy?
My cat recently peed on our sofa. I took it normally and went to wash it. After a few days of sitting on that sofa, I've been growing bug bite-like bumps that are incredibly itchy.
