Cats Aggressive Behavior
Ways to Stop Cats Aggressive Behavior
Biting and excessive urination are often the two most common behavior traits that people list about their cats that they do not like. Both of these things are signs of cats aggressive behaviors coming out. It is hard to determine exactly why cats do the things they do, but most researchers can agree that their early experiences weigh heavily on how they behave later in life.
Rough play, scratching, biting and defending their territory are other very common aggressive behaviors that are seen in cats. While it is tough to control or change any or all of these things, some suggestions are discussed in detail throughout the rest of the article.
Teaching cats that biting is not an acceptable behavior requires that the owner take immediate action when the biting occurs. Giving the cat reminders that the biting is not a good thing can help in the training. Also spraying something very bitter on things that the cat is typically biting can discourage them from doing it anymore. When a cat starts to play fight or act aggressive, one of the best ways to deal with it is to distract the cat with a rattle or other noise.
Cats love to play fight and be rough because that is in their nature. They instincts to stalk prey and hunt, and they will often show those behaviors with their owners. Discouraging this type of activity needs to be consistent throughout the family.
Encouraging this behavior with toys or in certain areas of the house can be great techniques to help control this Cats Aggressive Behavior. When using rattles or other noises to distract cats, make sure that the noise is not too loud or startling because that can cause the cats to become very shy and or reserved.
If you have more than one cat at home, you have probably seen some territorial behavior come out in your cats. This behavior can be very aggressive as some cats do not adjust well to sharing their space. They can act aggressively towards other cats that are becoming part of the family, or towards people that are visiting the house. The best way to deal with this behavior is to introduce new cats slowly. Keep them separated for a few days and give them shorter amounts of time together. This way the scents of the new cat can go throughout the house and help the current cat adjust.

Should I be concerned about my cats aggressive behavior?
I currently own two cats.
My male cat is about 2 years old and my female cat is around 9 months old. Both cats are fixed. Most of the time they are the best of friends!. They snuggle together and give each other baths.
Some times they become VERY aggressive towards each other. The male usually initiates it and they end up biting, hissing and growling. He stands over her and makes a strange clicking noise with his mouth.
Are they playing? should I be concerned about their behavior?. They are so cute when they snuggle!.
Thank you for your time, I appreciate it!.
They've been doing this ever since they met but it seems to have become worse since we spayed the female. I wasn't sure how old she was so she went into heat before I was able to get her fixed. The day she went into heat I ran her to a vet and got her spayed ASAP but ever since then their "fighting" has become more aggressive.

How can i stop my cats aggressive behavior?
My cat is nearly 3 years old and he can be a little aggressive (and annoying). At times he is very calm and likes to lay down next to people. Other days he runs around the house full speed like a psycho tripping people up, biting them on the ankles or wrist. If you are minding your business he'll come out of nowhere and swipe you multiple times on the head with his paw and when you yell at him he runs away and either comes back to do it again or digs his claws in the carpet instead of his scratching pad.
Whenever he does these things I check to see if he needs something like food, changing litter, etc. And 9/10 he doesn't need either. I also cut his claws regularly. And I always know when he wants to play because like a dog he ALWAYS brings his string and feather to me.
Can anyone give me successful tips to stop this behavior?
out of the 3 years I've had him he has only hissed once (my cousin bothered him). He never hisses.
And he was neutered the first year I got him as a kitten.

giving Bach's rescue remedy: water or straight?
I got some Bach's Rescue Remedy and put it in my cat's water. I don't see any difference in the cats (aggressive behavior). I'm thinkin that it's either not working or would be better if it wasn't so diluted and I gave it directly into the cat's mouths. What is your experience and what do you think?
It makes sense to me that if it's in a bowl of water it's....watered down.
By the way, I also have a feliway diffuser in the room.

cat aggressive behavior?
My sister has been visiting for 4 months now with her very laid-back cat. My cat has become so aggressive toward her cat that he runs to the bedroom for safety. We've tried everything except putting them in separate cages in the same room (neither cat is happy about their cages to begin with, her's is almost impossible to get in). I bought Feliway and sprayed my bedroom which seems to work. But the minute she comes out to the living area, she changes into this monster cat. Neither one is afraid to fight if cornered, but they both have been hurt once.
Will my cat ever adjust?
