Top 3 Dog Behavior Problems

Owning a dog is a privilege and an honor to most, they are there when you come home after a hard day or a good day they are there to pick you up in spirits or to share your good mood. That being said some dogs have some kind of behavioral problems that you would like to see disappear. Here listed are 3 dog behavior problems people and there pets encounter. Old dog owners and new dog owners alike the 3 dog problems in this article can ruin what should be a happy relationship between you and your dog.

1. Does your dog bark a lot at nothing that you can see, Will he all of a sudden bark for no reason, causing you to climb the walls? Ignore your dog when he starts to bark for no reason even if you yell at him you are paying attention to him when he is quiet you can pay attention only if he stops barking. Squirt gun is a good choice for your dog when he starts his barking. The most important step is to reward your dog right after he stops barking not in awhile.

2. Aggressive behavior, is it a pain to take your dog for a walk because he wants to pull you toward other dogs, people. By nature most dogs are not aggressive, if they are showing aggression, either from past owners neglect or the wrong training methods that were implemented. Socialize, have your dog being around other dogs from an early stage will prevent this but if you have an older dog take him to a dog park and let him socialize. Do not leave him chained up or caged for any length of time if he is in a cage a lot he will get agitated and anxiety builds up and he becomes aggressive. If for any reason he is aggressive and you do not know why or he suddenly has become aggressive take him to see a vet because he might have a medical problem.

3. Dog jumping on you or visitors. Dogs jump up on you because that is there way of greeting and that is what they do if they are trained not to. Be consistent when you come home a stern sit down while raising your knee, out of instinct your dog will back away, do not pat or pet your dog during his jumping on you. Praising your dog when he does not jump on you is important you need to do that immediate don't wait around to praise him three common dog behavior problems that you might encounter don't let that stop you from getting the most out of owning a dog.

Having dog a problem comes with owning a dog, 99.99% of the time they are very easy to straighten out buy being patient and consistent you will have no problems with your dog. The 3 that I have mentioned here today are only a few of a dogs behavioral problems; the best thing for you to do is to be consistent at whatever you are trying to train your dog to do.

What should I do with a little english setter which has behavior problems?
Hi everybody, I got this 4,5 months old english setter from my friend, but he doesn't know how to train a dog, neither do I , that's why I started to search for dog training tips on the net. If possible tell me proven methods, and if you want, I put them on my blog -which I started to help to people with the same problem-. Don't worry, if you don't want to share your tip on my blog with other people just put a 'y-o' (yahoo-only) at the beginning of your answer. :) Thank you for your help. http://the-dog-behavior-problem.blogspot.com/

why are you people so mean in the dog section?
every single time i ask a question about my dogs i get rude answers from know-it-alls that dont know anything. i get judged for trying to fix my dogs behavior problems. people saying things like "thats what you get for not training them as puppies" i never had them as puppies. i adopted them as adults. i thought it was mean to crate train my dogs and i asked about alternatives only to get answers from people saying i should have never gotten dogs. then after a few months of research, trying other methods and talking to my vet i decided to crate train. so then i ask a question about crate training and get critisized. i was even told that i never should have adopted dogs because i couldnt afford to feed them evo, i was asking for a cheaper alternative. what is wrong with you people. i really dont think your dog lovers because most people who love animals are kind hearted and sweet not cranky judgemental know-it-alls. maybe you should get off of yahoo answers and take care of your pet

Dog behavior problem-PLEASE HELP! :(?
We have a 4 yr old black lab (male) who is becoming very grouchy and mean as of late. He growls alot, not mean sounding just annoyed sounding, usually this happens when anyone pets him or goes near him. He doesn't like to be "cuddled" because whenever anyone touches him like around his stomach as if they were picking him up, he growls and once evn tried to bite my bro. He has never acted like this before. We got a puppy in Dec. who annoyts him sometimes but they have always got along fine, this behavior just started recently, so i don't think it has to do with the puppy. Please help!!!!

Dog behavior problems, please help!?
I asked in a previous question a couple behavior problems in a friend's border collie mix were because she was never fixed. To recap, she is aggressive towards all other dogs, especially my 4 month old aussie pup. Also, when she is in heat, she refuses to leave my friend's side and if he doesn't constantly discourage it, she tries to not let me or anybody else near him, and to a point near his dad. She also tries to hump every female, dog or human, who enters the house. The dog aggression is all the time, the protectiveness over my friend and the humping tend to be more when she is in heat, though occasionally she gets protective when not in heat. When my puppy isn't with me and she isn't in heat she is usually a nice dog. Like I said she is not my dog and I do not want to be rude and try to take over but he does not seem to find these behaviors a problem, he finds most of them cute. Any suggestions on how to discretely resolve these problems, short of never going over there? To clarify; No, I do not live with him. My only concern as to training, she is somewhere around 8 years old, will she be willing to learn at that age? Also, I talked to a breeder and they said that fixing does not correct behavior that was present prior to fixing.. Is that true or did I happen to contact a breeder who doesn't know what they're talking about Andrea- The BC mix seems like she is willing to play with my pup but then when mine starts to run around with her and play back, the BC bites at her and tackles her. When mine yelps, it seems to encourage the BC. Even when my puppy is playing with my friend's neighbor's puppy and the BC is around, the BC will go after my dog every few seconds, seemingly for no reason. She isn't even part of the play fight but she butts in and bites at my pup. In between the times she butts in, she is constantly growling. My friend seems to think that the growling is how she plays. I don't think it is. I mean asserting her dominance over my pup is one thing, but isn't this taking it too far? Oh and usually we're outside with them and the mix is just walking around with my friend. When we're inside the mix is just laying on the floor when we come in. My puppy usually just stands by me or sniffs the floor. Once she ran into the living room but not toward the BC mix. She doesn't approach the BC until the mix approaches her.
