Question - Is there really such a thing as urinary tract Health Cat Food, one that will make a difference to my cat's health?

Ok....After doing some research and looking for quality foods that "supported a healthy urinary tract" I narrowed my choices down to two foods. My choice was based upon availability, product analysis and price. After alot of reading and searching, I came across ProPlan Extra Special and Nature's Recipe. Both claim to support a healthy urinary tract. Which product is better? OR...am I missing the boat completely and need to choose something better? I'm tired of doing the research! There are so many choices...its hard to choose the best product! HEEEELLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!

Is it safe for me to feed Purina Urinary Tract Health formula cat food to both of my cats?
I have two cats. One was just diagnosed with a UTI. =( He's on antibiotics. I also went and bought a bag of Purina Urinary Tract Health cat food, since I heard it's good. I read on the website that you're not supposed to mix it with other types of cat food. In other words, you're only supposed to feed your cat the Purina Urinary Tract food for maximum effectiveness. So my question is, should I just put down the Purina and take up the regular food? Is it safe for me to do that? Thanks guys! Any other tips on how to help my kitty feel better are welcome. This is his second UTI. (I think he's stressed b/c we just moved.)

Best cat food for my cat with a history of urinary tract infections....?
My himalayan had a urinary tract infection 2 years ago and since then I've been feeding her Purina One urinary tract health cat food. She hasn't had any more urinary tract infections since. Then I read that grocery store bought cat foods are poor quality and that real meat should be the first few ingredients and no bi products or fillers. I went to a pet specialty store and was going to buy her some Wellness brand cat food that was 50% protein, whole foods and no fillers but an employee said that cats with urinary or kidney problems shouldn't eat high protein diets...so I got Innova instead (it has 32% protein and barley & whole grains)... I'm just wondering if I made the right choice or not. I want my cat to be as healthy as possible. What is the BEST food to fed her?
