Feeding kittens

Training my Pesky Kitten/Cat?
My kitty is female and about 4months old. She is very friendly, loves to play, and is ENERGETIC. My fiance and I sleep in the living room due to his back (he uses the recliner) and she gets into everything. She wakes us up in the morning going in and out of cupboards, jumping on us, nipping (in a friendly way), moving things around, and stealing our things. I've had to duct-tape my kitchen cupboards and barricade the bathroom ones because she steals garbage and likes to hear them open and shut. And open...and shut. For hours. I know she is still young, so I give her some leeway, and try not to roughhouse with her with my hands, but does anyone know of a way to settle her down a bit or at least train her to stay out of places? She knows she's being naughty, if she catches me looking at her when she is doing these things she runs out, but everything is just a game to her. I love her to death, but would love if she were better behaved. Any suggestions?
PS: I try not to give her too much negative attention and plenty of positive, she is around us a lot, I've tried the spray bottle water trick but she doesn't respond. She is very smart, even for a kitty--and I've been around a LOT of kitties. I'm looking for out-of-the-box answers.

Any advice for giving away a kitten?
We're giving away our kitten/cat in about an hour an I'm devestated. He's going to a good family. A stay at home mom and a young boy (9 years old) who will be able to give him lots of attention.
Does anyone have any advice for coping with this? Honestly I'm so upset, I've been crying all day.

How can I stop my cat from crawling up my screen door?
I have a 1 year old kitten/cat who has all of her claws. She is very spunky and full of energy and she likes to crawl up the screen when I have the back door open. She sees a bug (or invisible monster) of some type and up the screen she goes. Does anyone have any ideas to keep her from crawling up the screen? I have tried correcting her when I hear her do it but by time I get into the kitchen she is on the floor and moving on to whatever else she has found. I have also tried a squirt bottle (filled with water) but she just plays with the water so it does not really help me out lol. The other cats enjoy having the door open, but she is tearing the screen up and I am worried that eventually shes going to fly into it hard enough to knock it out. Any suggestions/ideas would be helpful.
Just going to add this part: I have had kittens before...I have fostered my fair share of litters and know about correcting them to ensure good behavior, but this is the first time I have ever had a kitten absolutely fascinated with the screen door. All my usual methods of correcting just will not work.
